It worked this time. Pumpkin Ale. Oh, not only did it work, but it is FUCKING DELICIOUS! I had a friend who tried it yesterday tell me they would buy it. Also, I still haven’t gotten the hang of reading the hydrometer, so I don’t know for sure, but my best guess is the ABV is about 7-8%. So yes, pretty strong, though the taste wouldn’t tell you that. It’s really drinkable, tastes like a good ale with pumpkin but doesn’t end up tasting like pumpkin pie, like some pumpkin beers do.
I’ll post a picture of it soon, but I don’t have any in the fridge tonight. I’ll rectify that soon for your viewing pleasure.
